Thousand Islands Regency is preparing to take a part in Healthy City/Regency 2021, a national competition which held on end of May by Health Ministry and Home Affairs Ministry.
We will finalize our readiness by conducting internal verification with team from Jakarta Government tomorrow
Thousand Islands Regency's Government and People's Welfare Section Head, Purnomo mentioned, there are 10 indicators of healthy city/regency arrangement that should be met as requirements, namely residential areas, public facilities, and orderly traffic area.
Next, transportation services, healthy mining area, healthy forest area, nutrition and food security, health and independent community life, healthy social life, and school health.

We will survey the inhabitant islands and evaluate all shortcomings," he said after leading coordination meeting at Mitra Praja Office, North Jakarta, on Thursday (5/20).
Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency's Public Health Section Head, Vino Harzady stated, there are additional requirements for this year that should be met by participants that 80 percent of participant's area must have declared open defecation free (ODF).
According to him, from total six urban villages in Thousand Islands, only Pari Island and Untung Jawa Island Urban Villages that have declared open defecation free. The other four urban villages will be declared open defecation free as soon as possible, while educating residents not to practice open defecation.
"In 2019 we have won Padapa (stabilization) award and this year we hope to achieve Wiwerda (coaching) award," he closed.
